• Creating awareness of poverty and it's potential impact on child abuse and neglect
• Putting a face on poverty in local communities
• Dispelling stereotypes on providing an accurate, factual portrait of the poor
• Educating viewers on relevant policy issues
• Identifying opportunities to get involved
• Creating partnerships with community supports

Activities:

• Coordinate a Success Seminar for Women
• Explore the Ride Share Program -- Department Of Natural Resources
• Promote the poverty simulation for students (available through East Missouri Action Agency)
• Develop a presentation/exhibit for community gatherings
• Produce a promotional video
• Produce an informational brochure listing things anyone can do to help fight poverty.
• Publish an Employment and Training Opportunities brochure.
• Explore starting a "Dress For Success" business clothing bank.
